Readjustment counseling, individual and group therapy, and referrals for veterans in the Augusta area. Walk-ins welcome. Free mental health services outside the main VA hospital for combat veterans and MST survivors. Located at 2030 Central Ave in Augusta. Call 706-650-5864 Mon–Fri 8am–4:30pm. No VA healthcare enrollment required. Bring your DD-214 for your first visit. Family members of veterans may also access bereavement counseling services.

State-operated skilled nursing facility for Georgia veterans requiring long-term care. Operated by the Georgia Department of Veterans Service at 1101 15th St in Augusta. Provides 24-hour nursing care, rehabilitation, recreational therapy, and social services. Veterans must meet service and income criteria. Contact GDVS at 404-656-2300 for admission eligibility and application procedures. A smaller facility is also available in Milledgeville. Call ahead for current availability.
