Free civil legal help for low-income Texas veterans and their families. Covers VA benefits claims, disability appeals, family law, housing disputes, and public benefits. Income must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. Contact the Texas Veterans Commission's VLAP program or a regional legal aid organization for intake. Bring DD-214, proof of income, and documentation related to your legal issue when seeking services. Available statewide.

Rates are among the lowest available in the state. Minimum 90 days of active duty service required. Programs are available to all Texas veterans regardless of discharge status for most loan programs.
