Free or low-cost comprehensive health coverage for uninsured Louisiana children in eligible income families, administered through Louisiana Medicaid. Fathers can apply on behalf of their children. Call 877-252-2447 or apply online at ldh.la.gov/page/lachip. Bring photo ID, proof of income, Social Security numbers, and birth certificates for children. Useful critical coverage for fathers whose children are uninsured and not eligible for Medicaid.
