StepStone provides emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and a 24/7 crisis line for domestic violence survivors in Ellis County and 17 surrounding northwest Kansas counties. Fathers experiencing abuse or helping children escape abuse can call for confidential help, safety planning, and shelter intake. Services are free for survivors and their children. Staff also assist with protection-from-abuse orders, court accompaniment, and referrals to housing and counseling resources.
