Each of NC's 100 counties has a Veterans Service Officer providing free assistance with VA disability claims, benefits navigation, and referrals to local services. VSOs help veterans file initial claims, gather evidence, and appeal denied claims. No cost for any services. Call 919-814-0164 or contact your local county government to find your county VSO. Open Mon-Fri 8am-5pm statewide. Services are available to all veterans regardless of discharge status or income level.
